Cub Scouts is a program within Scouting America that aims to prepare youth to grow into self-reliant and dependable adults. Cub Scouts achieve this with a lineup of hands-on activities and adventures focused on: character development, spiritual growth, good citizenship, sportsmanship and fitness, family understanding, respectful relationships, personal achievement, friendly service, fun, and adventure.

Sky’s the Limit Day Camp at Camp Baker

Cub Scout Day Camp is three days of fun, with no overnight stay, filled with exciting program activities, and adventure.

Day Camp is an introductory outdoor program for Scouts with any level of camping experience.

Scouts, families, dens, and packs can attend any camp that fits their schedule provided they have the required adult leadership. They are also welcome to attend more than one day camp as each one is a little different.

Camp Baker Days

Monday, July 13, 2026.  9 – 4pm
Tuesday, July 14, 2026.  9 – 4pm
Wednesday, July 15, 2026.  9 – 4pm

Wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. Bring your essentials pack if you have one, a water bottle, and a bag lunch each day.

2026 Rodeo Adventure at Camp Independence

BYOT (Bring Your Own Tent)

Camp Independence is a bring your own tent facility. If you don’t have a tent for your family, no problem. We have plenty of nylon dome tents that we can loan to you for your stay. Just let us know how many you’ll need.

Sahli Park Green Fest

Saturday, April 18, 2026
I.S and Gertrude Sahli Nature Park
9:00 am

Join us for a fun filled morning focusing on green initiatives, hearing from local professionals, touring Sahli Park, and spending a morning enjoying nature! See the full details on Chippewa Parks and Recreation facebook page.

There will be guided hikes following this schedule:

9:30 am – Seneca Loop Trail
10:30 am – Pond Walk
11:00 am – Garden Tours

There will be a vendor fair featuring local businesses organizations that promote and provide opportunities for recycling, composting, and green initiatives.

Should be a nice morning in a nice park. Class B uniforms.

Details About Parking
Parking is limited so we will be parking cars at Wright Fields at Veterans Park (follow the green signs for “SHUTTLE STOP”) and we’ll be running a continuous loop shuttle from the fields to Sahli Nature Park from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm.

Community Cleanup at Brady’s Run

We will split up across the park. Meet at the playground and we will divide up by how many/who we have. Families please consider staying and adding your hands help to clean up our community parks.

Beaver County Humane Society Donation Drive

Collection dates: April 15 – 30, 2026
Drop off: Saturday, May 1 at 1pm

To support our furry friends in need we are collecting supplies for the Beaver County Humane Society. You can see their full list here.

Details
We can start promoting and collecting donations April 15 – 30. Saturday, May 1 we will be taking the donations to the Humane Society at 1pm. All are welcome to join us for the drop off, but with a large group we won’t be able to take a tour (but were told we may be able to have a furry friend come out to meet us). Class A uniforms. Looking sharp.

If it would be more convenient for you, Miss Angie has volunteered to be a drop off house. Her address is on the flyer linked below.

Hopewell Community Park Youth Fishing Derby

May 2, 2026
Hopewell Township Community Park
2500 Laird Drive, Aliquippa
8:00 am – 12:00 pm

Open to ages 15 and under. Bring your fishing pole, bait, chair, and bucket. Prizes for 24-tagged fish. Bait will be sold at the event. The concession stand will be open. 50/50 raffle. For more info check out their website →
